Objectives



To ensure clients are well-informed when contracting security services. Participants will also gain knowledge on existing requirements and legislation regulating security services agencies. Considerations in hiring and preparations on the clients end with regards to security services provisions will also be discussed.

Course Content



  • Role of Ministry of Internal Affairs in regulating security service agencies in Malaysia.

  • Government requirements for approval of Security Services License

  • Determining your security needs, number of guards and scope of duty

  • Difference between :

    • In-house and contracted guards

    • Licensed and an unlicensed (franchised) company

    • Trained and untrained guards

  • Choosing a security agency

    • What to look for.

    • Limitations and Dangers in hiring non-qualified personnel

    • Security Services Agreement, Insurance provision, coverage and claims with regards to security service.

    • Persatuan Perkhidmatan Kawalan Keselamatan Malaysia (PPKKM) and its roles

  • Risk Assessment and Understanding your premise and your requirements

  • Your rights as a client and working together with your contractor to meet service expectation
